About me

Tracy Ward is an acute care nurse practitioner who specializes in working with patients who need surgery for either noncancerous or cancerous brain tumors. She strives to enhance the quality of care provided before and after surgery, knowing its potential impact on recovery.

During her years as a registered nurse on a trauma unit and in neurointensive care at UCSF, Ward developed a passion for improving the care of neurosurgical patients. Now, as a member of a unit-based leadership team, Ward is also involved in developing programs to elevate the safety and experiences of patients at UCSF.

Ward received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the Linfield – Good Samaritan School of Nursing and a master's degree in nursing from UCSF.

Ward is a member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses and serves on the board of the Bay Area chapter. She is a guest lecturer at the UCSF School of Nursing.

In her free time, Ward enjoys spending time outside and getting together with friends and family.
