About me

Dr. Theodore Omachi specializes in sleep disorders and lung diseases. He cares for patients with sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia, restless legs syndrome, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and critical respiratory illnesses. His treatments for sleep apnea include noninvasive methods such as continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines.

Omachi's research has been widely published in leading academic journals, and he has received awards from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American Thoracic Society and California Thoracic Society for his research on asthma, COPD and sleep disorders.

After earning a degree in biology at Harvard University, Omachi attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at UCSF.

Omachi is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and American Thoracic Society.
