About me

Dr. Rachel J. Bystritsky is an infectious disease specialist who provides primary care for patients with HIV or AIDS. She also provides consultations for hospitalized patients with HIV or AIDS.

In addition to patient care, Bystritsky is interested in health care quality improvement and medical education. She also has an interest in antimicrobial stewardship, a term for efforts to optimize the use of antibiotics (and other agents that work against disease-causing organisms) in ways that will improve outcomes for patients and combat the development of resistance to these substances.

Bystritsky earned her medical degree at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed a residency in internal medicine at New York – Presbyterian Hospital, serving as chief resident.

Outside of work, Bystritsky enjoys cooking and travel.
