About me

Dr. Maya Katz is a neurologist at the UCSF Movement Disorder and Neuromodulation Center. She specializes in treating patients with Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, dystonia and other movement disorders. Her research interests include identifying ways to delay Parkinson's disease progression and improving outcomes for patients treated with deep brain stimulation. She is also interested in multidisciplinary approaches to treating advanced movement disorders.

Katz earned her bachelor's degree and her medical degree from Cornell University. She completed her internship and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital and her neurology fellowship in movement disorders at UCSF.
