Josephine Czechowicz


Pediatric otolaryngologist

Dr. Josephine Czechowicz is a pediatric otolaryngologist, or ear, nose and throat specialist. She specializes in sleep apnea, hearing loss, thyroid conditions, vascular anomalies, noisy breathing and voice disorders.

Czechowicz's main research focus is global health, and she has worked in Chile, Equatorial Guinea, Peru and Zimbabwe. Her current research focuses on the hearing outcomes of children in resource-poor settings.

Czechowicz received her medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine, where she also completed a residency in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at the Seattle Children's Hospital through the University of Washington.

She is an assistant professor of otolaryngology at the UCSF School of Medicine.
