About our process

Dr. Grandis is new to Me. This was the first time I met Him. I am still waiting for a phone call from His office regarding my follow-up appointment which will be a "stress test" and will require my physical presence.

Dr Grandis is a wonderful cardiologist. A PET scan had shown "Extreme calcium deposits in one coronary artery" Dr Grandis assured me that the adjective "Extreme " was not appropriate for the facts. He scheduled a NM Spect Rest Myocardial Perfusion test to get the true condition of my coronary arteries.

Dr. Grandis not only responded to my questions he validated my concerns and involved me in deciding the treatment plan. Although I am new to his practice Dr. Grandis had already studied my history and investigated the implications of my comorbidities and medications on my treatment plan. His willingness to expend this level of effort appears to have resolved an issue that had resulted in multiple ER visits.

excellent provider and staff. need emergency access to then when events arise. I needed to see him when I was hospitalized 2 weeks ago. Would be really good if Ucsf could make that possible sometime substitutes just aren't the same especially when they are usually fellows or students I understand it's a teaching hospital but sometimes we need the Provider who is familiar with us

I trust Dr. Grandis with my life. I am amazed at his competence knowledge and sheer sincerely in dealing with my health issues. I feel like I truly have a Dr. who cares and who wants to get to the root of my health problems. I can't say enough good things about him.

Dr. Grandis is probably the last one standing of his caliber. A real exemption from most "doctors" at UCSF.

----- Doctor did seem to change his explanation of the benefit of the medication from that given at the last visit. ------Doctor may not be as frank with me I would expect - made statements that gave information but not the entire story as if trying to not give me too much information that might get me worried about the situation. ------- To me the uneducated layman appears doctor did an 180 turn on course of action upon information being discovered that did not appear to be that significant to the doctor. I had inquired about a procedure it was explained the procedure was not warranted later the additional information comes up and doctor made a reversal of approach. Leads me to believe the need for the procedure in the first instance was perhaps a bit more close to being warranted than was initial represented. ---- Do find this doctor to be very good and i trust him. -----Perhaps the confusion on my part rises from the fact I have a condition the severity of which no one is really certain and the doctor is waiting for the first further sign of problems before further acting????

This was our initial visit with this provider. He was knowledgeable and good until it came to switching medications. His printout said take medications at various intervals and I asked him what that meant -- he breezed through it and kept saying the bottle will explain. Eventually a little exasperated he wrote down what dosage and when it should be taken. He talked alot quite quickly (obvious that he wanted to get rid of us) and said he would give us a phone number to call should my husbands bp go above 140/90. He did not give me a phone number so during the week I took it upon myself to call and say what happens if it is on the weekend -- what number should I call? Left a message with Beverly and never got a call back. Over the weekend my husbands bp was 149/62 so as I was instructed I called and told the answering service and gave them my call back number. No call was ever returned! What is the point of calling and not getting any service or answer to my questions. This is really unacceptable --
