Signs and Symptoms

The symptoms of shoulder impingement syndrome are:

  • Pain and weakness in the shoulder Patients may have difficulty performing tasks like brushing and washing their hair.
  • Decreased range of motion Patients may be unable to lift the arm high, either forward or to the side.
